Step #2
Payments and Refunds
Please read carefully.
Each family is required to pay a $125 annual membership fee ($100 if registered prior to May 15th) to Home Educators for Excellence which is used to pay for church space, supplies, website, copying, parties, etc. This membership fee is refundable only if membership is not granted.
For Full Year Registration -1/3 tuition is due with registration, 1/3 is due June 15, and the balance is due August 15. A $3 per business day fee will apply to all payments postmarked after the due dates. Tuition is non-refundable unless the class is cancelled by the instructor or Home Educators for Excellence. If your situation has changed and you no longer wish to participate in a class, you may contact Hedfex leadership and you will be place on a waitlist to drop the class. Your space will be given to another when the class fills AND there is a waiting list to enroll for that class. You will then be notified that your space in the class can be given to another and you will receive a maximum refund of 90% for the remaining tuition unused.
-If you do not receive all classes requested at registration, you will be notified by the registrar before being placed in any desired open class. Once notified, you can continue to register for classes that are open or request that your check be returned to you.
-Checks declined due to insufficient funds will result in a $40 charge to that member.
-Members will be held financially responsible for any damage caused to the meeting site.
Spanish is the only class that requires some basic pre-requisites to ensure that all students are able to operate at a reasonable level in each age group. Spanish pre-requisites are as follows:
- 5-7 age group: none - 8-10 age group: knowledge of very basic Spanish which can be learned from some free websites that will be provided to the families upon request. This can also be done by studying with Setty during one of her summer Spanish camps in Burnsville. See her website for more information www.espanolsl.com . Please talk with Setty to ascertain the pre-requisite work that is necessary for your child.
11+ age group: student needs a foundation of Spanish which can be received through workbooks, websites and/or studying with Setty for 2-4 weeks at her office prior to beginning class. All students entering at this level need to speak with Setty prior to beginning class so she can direct you in your pre-requisite studies. She can be contacted through her website.
